Vacation with the Nokia E90

I had some days free, so we, my family and I, decided to make short vacation on Sylt, a famous island in Germany. However, before we could start, I had to decide which gadgets I would take on vacation. First I wanted to take my Laptop with me but after I found out that we don’t have Wi-Fi in our hotel I decided to take the N95, E90 and my SU-8W with me. I took the N95 just for gaming with me because I can’t install N-Gage on the E90. Otherwise I wouldn’t take the N95 with me. Now I want to tell you, whether the E90 is suitable for vacation or not.

Multimedia meets business: A N95 - E65 photo-shooting

The E65 is a business-device, the N95 is a multimedia-device. Of course a business-phone has to be small and handy so that every business-user can put it in his suit. Nokia has done this well with the E65 - it is good-looking and small. A multimedia-phone doesn’t need to be as small as a business-phone - the people and power-users that buy such phones want multimedia and entertainment!

The E65 is a business-phone. A business-user needs definetely fast access to the connectivity-options of his phone. Beta Labs: Nokia Step Counter

After Sports Tracker, Maps 2.0, Location Tagger and some other application the folks over at the Nokia Beta Labs just developed a new great application - Nokia Step Counter.

What is Nokia Step Counter?

Ever wanted to how much you walk or run as you go about your daily life? The Nokia Step Counter not only counts your steps, it also determines the distance you have covered and your energy expenditure. You can even compare your activity levels on different days by looking up the summaries stored in a handy diary.

Want to know how it all works? Your steps are measured by analyzing the output from an accelerometer in your S60 mobile device. All you have to do is carry your phone around with you whenever you move, for example in a pocket of your clothing, attached to a belt or your upper arm, or in a handbag worn over your shoulder. Nokia Step Counter just runs on the Nokia N95 8GB, N95 and the N82.
